I don't why or what for but I have been so positive since I've been diagnosed with Colon cancer, today was totally different I was struggling with this and couldn't focus. I have tried to keep busy for the last 7 weeks since I got the news but I feel totally burnt out today.
I'm sorry for the moan and whinge I haven't felt this negative ever and I even struggled at the thought of going into work.
Just wanted to say hi, I'm at the beginning of my journey I had CT on Saturday , stool samples week before both came back positive, have appointment tomorrow with the specialist , so I don't know what's going on at the moment but I just wanted to say hello and maybe @court may have some good advice for you x
Hi I had my CT scan, PET scan and MRI yesterday so waiting for my meeting now to discuss my Treatment plan and begin this long journey. I've been working since I was first diagnosed to keep busy but because my job is stressful I just feel completely burnt out.
Thanks for your support x
Waiting is one of the hardest parts I guess , sorry like I say I'm new to this but hoping someone with a bit more experience will jump into the conversation x
It's ok I'm sure someone will be along soon with loads of information for you x
Hi
Totally understandable , a lot of people wake up one day and report that , especially on the finaL hurdle to getting your results and treatment plan . The adrenaline that carries you over the initial part starts to drop and bit . However it can pass again . My mum always advocates listening to your body and if you need time to process things , take the time . If you need to keep busy , do just that . However if you need a bit of medical support to get you through this week I fully advocate speaking to your GP . I did at exactly this point and that was as a carer ! My GP really help get me through this rough part ! My mum has also had lots of support from him over the years . They can be very helpful in assisting you through this .
It can catch up with you a bit and please feel free to contact our helpline 0808 808 0000. They have a listening ear and good advice for exactly times like this .
I would however think when more information on your plan is available and you get timeframes and direction you will feel this move in a better direction .
Do you feel you would benefit from some time off your work ?
Take care ,
