Hi we are hoping my dad will be discharged today following about 12 inches of colon cut away and having a stoma fitted- ileostomy.
I was wondering if anyone has any advice regarding diet , obvious he’s been given information about low fibre diet etc , but I worry about the food and sugars that feed cancer .
can anyone recommend any diet recipe / information/ books on adjusting to stoma , we still don’t know he needs chemo yet , I’m just worried about the types of foods he has to eat in order to adjust to stoma / ileostomy feeding cancer cells should he still have them .
also any tips on healthy foods , drinks or safe supplements please ?
