Hi all I have spoken to my oncologist and told her the side effects im getting  as previous post, and she's going to reduce dosage down 35% and pump 15% im on number 4 next week and said should make a difference Pray but she then said they will get me to 6 and stop because im reacting really badly and she considers this enough im on mop up tumor removed in jan and out of 26 lymph nodes 1 looked suspicious.

She said they have to consider a patients quality of life and as I've been quite poorly for 2 years almost dying then she considers 6 enough.

My head is spinning Tired face

  • Great news  I think you will notice quite a difference and I have to say I think you have had the tougher end of treatment and a complete and utter hero in working through it ! You have come so far and you have much better times ahead and I am hoping to hear of them in the not too distant future. My mum could only ever do six in a row with an enormous struggle and that was in a stage 4 settling . It was enough !
Well done you and hope the remaining few are much kinder !

You might like to look into the Scott trial for encouragement. The patients who had three months treatment got practically the same outcome as the patients that did six months treatment .
Hope you have a nice day .

  • Hi Court thank you for replying that sounds positive about your mom only doing 6 I was worried it wouldn't be enough.

Little correction it was the Scot trial . This is from the Lancet so should be reliable.
Not sure if it’s fully adopted or the exact conditions but worth a read !
