Hello all,
I am visiting from Stage 4 Breast Cancer world, apologies for bumping in! I know there are many threads on paying for Avastin privately, but I have not been able to find a recent one. I am planning to pay for it as part of my breast cancer treatment (it used to be NHS covered but is not any more, despite working for some patients). I am treated at Barts in London. I know NHS hospitals can administer it and charge for it; does anyone have recent experience with this especially at Barts? Otherwise I will need to pay for both the Avastin and my chemotherapy to be administered privately and I'd rather only pay for the Avastin...
Any advice much appreciated
Hi and of course we don’t mind you popping in. I’ll be honest in that I don’t know a lot about Avastin but there has been a lot of posts about it on the Bowel Cancer UK Board where people have sourced it direct from the manufacturer at a much lower cost than quoted if you want to have a look at some of the posts?

Hope this helps
