Hi HazG
How is your fluid intake going ? Is your output still really fast ? I can’t remember off the top of my head if you had your dose reduced ! I know you had a few issues with your bloods . Just wondering if a chat with the Macmillan helpline nurses might help to look at how best to progress . My mum had a rotten time too and a dose reduction did help but so did keeping her in overnight and a very slow administration . But she also benefited from going in to have her fluid levels topped up . Have you phoned your team for guidance ? My mum did not give the full feedback to her team the first year . Her legs were like jelly and took three of us to get her up the stairs and into bed straight after chemo . It was much better twelve hours later . Is that similar to what you are experiencing?
The nurses have a lot of experience 0808 808 0000.
I am feeling for you as I know what my mum went through ! But with help from your team it can improve. The second year with the adjustments was like night and day ! Did you have a DPD deficiency test ?
Hope it improves soon !
Take care ,
Court
