Hi everyone, hope your enjoying the nice weather. Just wondering if this as happened to anyone else. I was told that I would have a exit scan after chemo finishes in September but I’ve received a letter saying I’m booked into have one at the end of June! Which I didn’t expect.. had a scan at the beginning of treatment in April so now I’m worrying why they’ve changed it

  • Hi  I remember having 1 mid chemo as the oncologist was really busy and came and sat next to me in the chair to discuss it! Not sure why - she said she wasn’t expecting to see anything untoward but my insides were a bit of a mess from the surgery?! Think the oncologist and surgeon liked to have a bit of banter as he told her to ‘stick to her expensive chemo and leave the surgery to him!’ Anyway I’m not sure if it’s a mid chemo check or a post surgery check but it sounds like it’s standard procedure

    Hope the chemos going ok?

    Take care

  • Hi

I take it you are having 12 chemo cycles ? I see it a lot on the forum . They seem to like to get a visual on progress. My mum only ever did six cycles in a row so scanning was after six for her . Would that be roughly how many you will have had by then ?

Honestly don’t think there is anything of concern in that decision.
Hope you are having a nice weekend .
