All ready for surgery

I’m all set , have had a few wobbles the last few days but have given myself a pep talk . My covid test was negative and I’ve now got 2 doses of picolax to take tomorrow and the carbohydrate drink . I report at 0730 on Friday morning. I’m looking forward to having another catch up with the surgeon . I can see I’ve signed the consent form for open/laproscopic  with stoma +/- . And it’s a lower anterior resection . It seems like it’s been a long wait after the previous surgery was delayed due to covid . But here I am ready with my bag packed . The next part of the journey continues ... feels quite scary really as I’ll soon get to know whether I have emvi and lymph node involvement etc . Oh and if I’ll wake up with a bag .
