My surgery has been cancelled for Thursday they just rang to tell me I was waiting to have my tumour removed I asked when it would go ahead she said we are working to sort something out other alternatives what they are I don’t know.
How is this going to effect me I was only there yesterday having my Covid and blood tests.
So sorry to hear that . It’s exactly what happened during the first wave . A directive comes down from the top . The issues last time seemed to surround ICU/ high dependency beds . Availability of staff and post op care .
Some hospitals are able to keep doing both though . During the first wave they did get there in the end . Either using and identifying other ways to ensure patient safe or different venues . Hopefully they will get there and let you know very soon as I heard they are want to keep this type of surgery getting carried out quickly .
It is so upsetting for people when they have built up the courage to face surgery .
I am truly sorry and I hope you hear very soon .
Take care ,
Court
