Hi all - my mother has bowel cancer, whereby she had an operation back in February. The first round of chemo didn't work. It hasn't closed well, and unfortunately preventing chemo. She has been in Hospital 3 times (in now, as we speak) regarding this, and no Doctor appears to be able to put their finger on what it is until now. They state it is "Fousil" (I'm probably not spelling that right).

Last time she went in, the antibiotics closed it - then once she stopped taking them, it reopened.

The Dr states they can't operate due to the nature of her cancer, however we need this closed to undergo chemo.

Just wondering if anyone has ever had a similar experience?

  • Hi . Is it a fissure or fistula maybe? I’ve no experience of either but you could maybe put it into the search box? I really hope you manage to get something sorted out for your mum - it’s not fair that she’s been suffering with this since February.
