On Tuesday I had to go for a blood test as there were signs that I may have a heart problem. On Thursday morning a doctor from our practice, who is known for telling you straight, what is wrong with you, medication, tests etc telephoned me to say that they had my blood test results back. He told me that my heart is fine. You could tell that there was something wrong with him & he muttered that he didn't know how to put something into words! I told him to just come out with it like he normally does. He then told me that my blood test was showing that I probably had cancer, it could be bladder cancer but more likely to be either bowel or rectal cancer. He said I was anaemic & that I was only 1 number away from being classed as diabetic. Such a lot to take in when you haven't long been up!
