My wife finished her second round of chemo nearly a month ago ( she has to undergo another round of chemo with different drugs next week) but she has experienced severe vomiting and stomach cramps - is this normal as she had no such issues after her first round of chemo in May this year?
Her appetite is also quite poor .
Otherwise she is quite healthy although does get tired easily these days
Hi
Sorry to hear your wife is feeling sick . Is her primary tumour removed ?
Chemo can upset the balance easily but I would maybe contact her oncologist to see if something can be done before her next round of chemo starts up . Get her off to a good start .
It took time for my mum’s appetite to come back and we did go with the approach of making every bite count in terms of calories without it becoming burdensome . It was a difficult balance to strike .
Our helpline staff have lots of information so you might like to chat it through with them too. 0808 808 0000.
Hope you get it sorted for her soon .
take care ,
