Hi everyone, it’s been a while! Today is the first anniversary of my Ileostomy reversal so definitely something to celebrate! After 7 months I had become used to Stella the Stoma & was able to eat pretty much what I wanted to. However I was glad to have the reversal and am pleased to report that a year on I have made a complete recovery. I eat & drink whatever I want and normal bowel movements have resumed!
I was told I could drive after 6 weeks & play tennis after 8 weeks. I didn’t do any Pilates for 4 months but I swam at 3 months. Lifting things like shopping bags I was doing after 8 weeks. I played tennis whilst I had my stoma so it wasn’t such a big deal once I had the reversal I guess. I wasn’t told to wear a support but I know some people who were, it depends on how the reversal was done I think. Hope this helps!
Hi Jersey Lily
Its so goog to hear of your good illostomy reversal as a lot of posts I read about reversals send shivers down my spine.
