hi
I having just joined this group because of anxiety over results, I am pleased to say My CT and bloods were clear YAY, CT did pick up a chest infection though so just off to get anti-biotics. Thought getting the all clear would make me feel better but hasn't really.Obviously Im relieved, hoping this low feeling will pass very quickly as I am usually a very positive person so it doesn't sit well. Hoping once antibiotics do they're job I`ll feel more like myself.

Oh that’s great news . So delighted for you . A lot of people report not having the emotions they expected to feel with a good scan . I think anxiety crawls up slowly at times and can take time to settle again . Also your trust in your own health has been knocked . That takes time to level out again . Each scan takes you further away from this and the good thing about bowel cancer is the less likely you are to recur after two years .
Hope you get the chest infection sorted . I see scans as a necessary evil . Hate them with a passion but so glad they have kept my mum alive . But she has endured over thirty scans and I even now it can bring a range of emotions with them .
You take special care and don’t forget you have been through a lot . Court
