Has any one else had the same experience, I had my operation at the end of February this year keyhole surgery for bowel cancer, and I am doing everything I used to do before the operation, apart from the gym, because it has been closed. But i am still feeling a slight tenderness in the area of the operation.
Mine was keyhole in May '19....& I had tenderness for quite a few months after the Op. & it hurt when passing stools for quite a while. I put it down to internal stitches, scar tissue....everything melding together again basically. Probably just a normal reaction after a major Op.
Rest assured.

I had keyhole surgery back in 2011 and I had tenderness for quite a while after. Even though you have had keyhole, it is still a big op and it does take our bodies quite a while to repair themselves, Light exercise is fine, but be careful before doing exercise. I would suggest that you speak to your consultant regarding the best time to return to the gym.
Take care,
