Hi Jennifer r my issue above related to my bladder which was sorted by a urogynaecologist. I would speak to your surgeon/consultant. However my GP did suspect a small hernia near to the port on the right side of my tummy. An ultrasound proved inconclusive and since then I’ve had a follow up CT scan and that was a no too. My Elape was in July and all went well til end of September when I started getting a bulge from my barbie bum.I was devastated.I went back to see surgeon and he didn't really seemed that bothered.He said it was a hernia and he couldn't do the surgery to correct the problem.He was going to talk with his colleagues and get back to me.That was back at beginning of October and I'm still waiting.
I feel so upset.I feel like one of those monkeys at the zoo with the big bulges in the bum.I have tried to find information about this but its hard to find.
Hi again, Jennifer r, I can’t begin to imagine how you feel but would suggest you contact the surgeons secretary and find out why you haven’t been contacted. I assume this was cancer and if so you should have been linked with a cancer nurse and stoma nurse who could also help and might not even know of your difficulties so give them a ring too. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
