So, finally had my LAR carried out last Wednesday, came two from the op and was pleased to find no stoma, something my Surgeon would only give me a 50/50 chance of having? Great stuff....
except just over one week later I ‘m now on a HDU, sweeting buckets and being pumped with enough antibiotics they could float the titanic with and the still can’t tell me when I will get to go home, still, at least my stone seems to be working.
Hi Mister man
Sorry to hear that you needed a second op and that you are in HDU.
I know we all wish to get home as soon as we can but it sounds like you are being well looked after, and a few more days in hospital will help you get stronger and hopefully by now the antibiotics are kicking in and you will soon be on your way home.
Take care and keep in touch to let us know how you are getting on.
VickiLynne
THANKS VickiLynne
just been told I’m being sent for a another back passage look
it’s that lack of knowledge that’s really frustrating, that and hospitals are really bad places to get good rest.
Mark
Hi again Mark
I know how difficult it can be to get an undisturbed night's sleep in hospital, but you are resting in bed and that is good. I hope they can give you some answers after they have carried out this other investigation. Fingers crossed it will be good news.
Take care,
VickiLynne
