Good afternoon from Scotland . The weather is once again beautiful however I am busy at my parents as I ordered 3 tons of top soil . I have already moved the stones and preparing to grass more if their back garden . It will be easier in the long run . I can only get my own gang to help at this stage .
Gazebo is up in the garden and had one family over last night , which was lovely . I am still being very careful and it was not without a bit of adjusting to getting organised and into a bit of a new routine .
Great to hear about the new sewing gowns and hope if their is a need in the future more PPE is available. So looking forward to seeing the new summer jacket . So much talent on this forum . I also hope the working from home gets into a good routine for you . There is a lot of adjustments there as well . A lot of changes just now .
I was a bit disturbing to see a hospital having to close but I also noticed the spread is just reaching some of our more rural communities just now .
So we have dipped our toes in the water . It is actually really hard to not go near people in a social setting . My son had to pull be back as my family left last night . I was walking straight out behind them but I will improve !! Yikes !
Hope your all well . Glass of water and back to work .

Hi @court
Went yesterday for my bloods for the 2nd round of chemotherapy the walk there and back although I enjoyed seeing the river Thames was hard as I was so very tired and still did not feel great from the injections they gave me , but still it was worth it just to get out , I slept all afternoon when I got back !!
Lots of love

Glad you got to see the river but you must be exhausted. My mum could barely get to and from the hospital by car !
Hope number two goes smoothly . It must have felt strange being out again after so long . My sister convinced my mum to go for a short walk up the street tonight ! She had her wee mask on ( empty street!!) but she did it . Think she was delighted to see round her a bit . Ten weeks is a long time !
Anyway hope your nap later on did the trick! Stay safe and we shall gradually ease out of this .
Pouring her tonight . The ground needed it and will put the brakes on the big crowds for a bit !
Take care ,
Court

Hello Everyone , this is a bit of strange phase too ! Easing out of lockdown !
Have seen through a couple of friends the impact of trying to access healthcare in the middle of this and it’s not been easy , both are safely heading to hospital and will now get the help they need .
Taking mum for her bloods tomorrow . First time in a car for ten weeks for her ! Practically a day trip minus the bloods off course !
Setting up my partition in the car tonight . Should be interesting!

Yes, weird times! My brother has just emailed to say he rang his CNS and his biopsy results, from a wide excision for his melanoma, are clear. So that is good news. Now to see when (if?) the routine testing gets back on track.
Please make sure any partition is securely fixed, else if you do an emergency stop it might make things worse. A visor might be better?
Rained all day here, but we need it, just feels cold after the heat!
Never thought of that . I am hoping it’s a one off as there is a big bit of Velcro across my car roof ! Yikes ! I think once her confidence picks up she will settle for some facial accessories instead !
That’s fantastic news about your brother . You all must be delighted ! So nice to hear some good news !
It is a bit colder here too !
take care ,

Love these newsy posts! Horrible morning here but have to go out for a routine injection. Nothing important, B12. I must ask what it's meant to do for me. Rumours here that we might drop another level soon. But I'm still very careful, had to use a taxi on Tuesday and sat in the back seat with my mask on. Had to take it off for the beginning of my third root canal tooth in a row! Made it easier for the dentist. 'Oh, I wish I'd looked after me teeth.'
Stay safe everyone. Waiting to see what Div. 1 will do about finishing the season. We are 3 points above the drop zone and only stayed up last season because of goal difference.

Hi Court
Hope you managed to get the partition sorted and that you and your mum was ok with blood tests, and that she enjoyed her little ride out.
Take care,
VckiLynne
PS - I've been totally exhausted today, I nicked cats quick when cutting her claws last night (had to take this on as `I couldn't get to vet, did it last time ok). You wouldn't believe the blood. My daughter (with the animal sciences degree) told me to put cornflour on it and hold it there for half an hour. Well, I did it, bleeding stopped so I went to watch tv with her on my lap and then she trotted off into kitchen for food/water/pee - whatever - and came back with it dripping blood again. So another hour in the kitchen with foot coated in cornflour. By the time I went to bed it was 2:00 am having cleaned blood off sitting room carpet, and kitchen - which looked like a scene from NCIS. Cat settled and I went to bed. I felt so upset and guilty - couldn't sleep. Had to be up at 7:00 as I had a zoom meeting. Glad to say Taffy ok, bleeding stopped and she's eating and walking about ok. Spent all morning washing cat bed and throws and my two changes of clothes. Crashed out this afternoon. Just finished dinner so having a look on- line. Hopefully I'll sleep tonight
Evening everyone ,
wombles you made me laugh , might have been a bit tricky for the Dentist with your mask on . It’s funny but the dentist is one of the things I am slightly anxious about not having access to!! Are you completely out of lockdown now ? Stay safe .
Lynne I hope you get some rest . That sounds really horrible for you . Your poor cat ! We rely on these services so much ! Hope your both on the mend from that episode!
Well the GP practice was faultless. Following on from Gemmary I added a visor for her to wear going into the actual GP surgery ! We both wore masks and the plastic sheeting and managed well . I drove round for a bit and brought her up to see my garden . She quite enjoyed it and was happy to head back ! She was ready for being out for a bit I think ! Saw a few people looking in the car but who cares . We did our best and it went smoothly !
So my mum’s next appointment is in six months time with her oncologist and is arranged and her scan is planned ! Could this be the service returning to some normality !
We got more rain !
Stay safe ,

Hi Court. We still have minor restrictions but they may be further reduced on Monday. Gatherings of up to 100 are now allowed. That came in at noon today. The 1pm Friday update was reassuring - 14 consecutive days with no new cases, 1 active case remaining and nobody in hospital. Some say that new cases will probably be found, so I'm still very careful. I actually went to the Supermarket yesterday for the first time since it all started! Sprayed the trolley handle, copious amounts of hand sanitiser and they don't pack your bags any more.
Nice day today but still feeling lethargic. Luckily the grass growing has slowed down.
Best wishes everyone.
Wombles.
Hi Wombles,
As a dentist (in Scotland) I’m well impressed you managed to access care for your root canal(s) - our Chief Dental Officer is estimating only a semblance of normal practice by end of July here due to Covid, but very limited treatment available now through urgent dental care centres.
I did get one of my colleagues to do and exam and x-rays for me before starting my chemo, as I’d not had them done in about 7 years..... cobblers children and all that!!!
