Good morning, here.
This morning will see us well into our Boris Break, 3 glorious months, 12 weeks, 84 days, of self isolation confined to the house, no contact with the outside world, well not exactly thanks to this virtual technology we can speak to each other and share our tit bits in life.
What I have in mind with the start of this thread is to have an ongoing page for the duration of our Boris Break where we can come on here and
tell of some good news,
fume at the letter with bad news,
a new flower in the garden, anything that brought a smile to your face,
annoyed you,
made you to lose your temper,
the telephone call from a small child or a long lost friend.
Acknowledge an act of kindness you've received.
or the scam phone call telling you that your broadband is going down.
What you think about the hoarders, when you need some milk, bread and the essentials and can't get an online delivery slot.
Ask a question.
If you've something to share this is the place to bring it to.
I think - hope - that you can see where I'm going with this as an outlet to share a small bit of your day with the rest of us.
Not intended to be a discussion just a place where you come on to tell others that you're feeling good or you're feeling like sh** or cr## and want to get it off your chest. We may not like our Boris Break but we can make the time pass by posting our Tit Bits, on this page which I have headed up Our daily Boris Break Tit-Bits, so what about it, will you join by posting your daily, hourly events that have crossed your day and sharing the good and the not so good with each other.
Could I kick this off, just spotted on eBay Andrex Classic Clean Toilet Roll, 4 rolls - White for £12.50 plus £2.90 postage.
To make it easy I will refresh the page daily to bring it back to the top.
Looking forward to reading your stories, incidentally how many remember the weekly magazine printed on cheap paper until 1984 that was a mini encyclopedia of human interest stories.
How many of you will be enjoying your morning coffee the same as me at 11 am.

Just thinking about social isolation and solutions . Used Zoom to connect with friends and it’s a good second best if you want to chat to more than one set of friends .

Morning all, how are we getting on everyone managing to get out and have their exercise time or are just doing theirs in the comfort of the house.
Hope that everyone is attempting to answer Kareno62 quiz, you still have today to answer as Karen won't be giving the answers out until tomorrow.
Received a phone call from my local RVS branch yesterday checking that both my wife and myself were okay and did I need any additional help. As they had me registered a person who uses their volunteer drivers to take me to hospital appointments she wanted to know what other help I might need from the team of NHS volunteer responders that they were recruiting. I was told I was eligible for a volunteer to pick up my prescriptions from the pharmacy or to have a volunteer pick up some shopping for me. It appears that volunteers will be put into categories, collect prescriptions, collect shopping or take you shopping.
It's going to take a few weeks to get this organised as obviously the volunteers to have to be checked and possibly be DBS checked.
If you are elderly and think you could benefit from the RVS services click on the green text to open up a new page for more information.
It would be nice to see a few other members pop in to say hello this lockdown going to last a few weeks longer,

Morning all. Pretty good . I’m not saying that 13 is wrong but it’s not the answer I had - too clever for me! - but it’s very close. Glad to hear all the family’s joining in court. I like to think my quizzes cover all age groups. Some answers involve general knowledge and some are just a bit silly although I like the lateral thinking comment!
So brace yourselves for tomorrow’s because like the Coronavirus they get worse before they get better
Take care

Good morning all
April is with us and for many it will be a month of isolation and I wondered how many of our lovely people on here have been confirmed as having the virus and how are you coping with having the family around you, help or hindrance.
With garden centres being closed unless you have been growing from seeds our gardens are going to pretty colourless this year.
What have we store for you today quiz number 3 from the wicked mind of our Kareno62
I hope more will try and solve the clues.
In the meantime keep safe and take every precaution to stop the virus spreading.
Let's know how many have been confirmed and how you are passing the day

I have been encouraging my parents to lap their garden . Big lectures on how essential it is to move round the room or round the garden if possible. They did fifteen laps only to hear clapping and the wee girl up the back clapped each time they achieved a lap !!
Also got them doing an exercise DVD for their age group .
take care ,
