Good morning,  here.

This morning will see us well into our Boris Break, 3 glorious months, 12 weeks, 84 days, of self isolation confined to the house, no contact with the outside world, well not exactly thanks to this virtual technology we can speak to each other and share our tit bits in life.

What I have in mind with the start of this thread is to have an ongoing page for the duration of our Boris Break where we can come on here and

tell of some good news,

fume at the letter with bad news,

a new flower in the garden, anything that brought a smile to your face,

annoyed you,

made you to lose your temper,

the telephone call from a small child or a long lost friend.

Acknowledge an act of kindness you've received.

or the scam phone call telling you that your broadband is going down.

What you think about the hoarders, when you need some milk, bread and the essentials and can't get an online delivery slot.

Ask a question.

If you've something to share this is the place to bring it to.

I think - hope - that you can see where I'm going with this as an outlet to share a small bit of your day with the rest of us.

Not intended to be a discussion just a place where you come on to tell others that you're feeling good or you're feeling like sh** or cr## and want to get it off your chest. We may not like our Boris Break but we can make the time pass by posting our Tit Bits, on this page which I have headed up Our daily Boris Break Tit-Bitsso what about it, will you join  by posting your daily, hourly events that have crossed your day and sharing the good and the not so good with each other.

Could I kick this off, just spotted on eBay Andrex Classic Clean Toilet Roll, 4 rolls - White for £12.50 plus £2.90 postage.

To make it easy I will refresh the page daily to bring it back to the top.

Looking forward to reading your stories, incidentally how many remember the weekly magazine printed on cheap paper until 1984 that was a mini encyclopedia of human interest stories.

How many of you will be enjoying your morning coffee the same as me at 11 am.

  • Hi

I had mine after surgery in October it wasn't the surgeons plan but he did warn me it might happen as I had radiotherapy and chemotherapy in May and the tumour didn't shrink at all  so he had to do more invasive surgery. I was really scared of having I didn't look at it for 5 days as I was in intensive care but when I saw the 'nipple I was so shocked I nearly had a breakdown seeing this thing coming out of my tummy , not sure what I expected it to look like but was quite shocked . I then had to get on with it and learn what to do as they wouldn't let me home otherwise. I have to say I cope with it quite well but still have some meltdowns especially when I change the bag and it misbehave and starts erupting like a volcano,  The noises are weird as you can't control them I can joke with hubby but it's embarrassing with people you don't know. Hubby thankfully has been with me all the way and helped and has seen it  . I wear all the same clothes and before isolation went swimming with it.

Is yours an ilostomy mine is and they can be more active than a colostomy and I always feel dehydrated even though I drink loads never had that problem before , I'm also really picky with my food . Like the look of your bar do you manage a beer with yours I'm too afraid to drink anything fizzy so stick to the odd wine but find I can't drink too much of that either.

    This isolation is challenging

    Hi Peacock62

I think you have been extremely brave as goin through the chemo and radio before hand then the invasive surgery and then to come round and find out you have a 3rd nipple. You have my complete admiration as I know how difficult at times it is to deal with. As for food I seem to be abit better than I actually was prior to surgery for the Ileostomy but I don't think think that was hard with 5 months of constant IBS severe problems. From low fibre to low residue regardless of if I was having diarrhea or being constipated. As for the odd Stella I do indulge and have no problems the only issues I find is the output is more watery but I do tend to drink probably 4 or 5 pints of juice a day. It's good we don't have to go through these things alone and I really feel for the people who do.
