Hi guys
most of you know I'm currently receiving chemotherapy for bowel cancer after a successful operation. I was due to have my 18th of 30 doses on Friday gone but due to side effects was unable to. I got sent to A&E and the long n short of it is my side effects actually relate to my resection being narrow at the top meaning I'm backed up of poo with IBS style side effects. I had a CT scan on Saturday which showed the narrowing and today the colon rectal consultant have decided on a temporary stoma while I continue with my chemotherapy. I am due to go under the knife today this afternoon so will update once surgery is done and come round.
Regards Mark
Hi Mark
Hope everything goes well with the op and the stoma sorts your problems out. I see that you’ve already joined the Stoma support group where you’ll be well looked after.
Take care
