My 3rd day over, its getting easier now going to have my Radiotherapy, so far so good , i know i have just started my Chemo medication, but day 3 and so far so good, i was reading up on them, and people say its usually 2 weeks into them, that side effects start if you are  going to get any, how was it for all of you at the begining and the following weeks of your treatment, then i have a good idea of what to look out for, even tho the team have told me, but your comments will be of help too ,, Thank-you x.

    Hi nan-nan,

Glad to hear that you're radiotherapy is getting easier. When I was about to start my radiotherapy, my sister gave me the best tip - she said to treat it as your job. You travel to your work, do the job, then travel home again. For me, I was travelling to the Beatson in Glasgow and home every day, Monday to Friday for 5 weeks. By week 3, I was a pro, an old-hand at it. But then I took a big dip and just wished it was all finished. Thankfully week 5 was much better, and after it was all done, I couldn't believe I'd got to the end! I was on chemo during the time too, and luckily I was neither up nor down with side effect from chemo or radiotherapy. But I was very tired. That passed and I went back to work about 3 weeks after that and worked until my surgery date. I used the time over the 5 weeks of radiotherapy to start sorting things out at home, and preparing for after my surgery.

You're well on your way now, and it'll be over before you know it!
