I start my treatment today. Over the past month I noticed that very small quantities of blood can be seen in some of my stools. Over the past few days the amount of blood has increased so that it now appears in nearly all of the stools, sometimes it is all blood that passes, not massive amounts, but enough to worry me.
I will mention it to the doctor tonight, has anyone had similar experiences.
Goslow.
Hi . Yes I used to see blood although it seemed to be more dripping out after a poo rather than actually in my stools (sorry if a bit early for that much information) I assume that it’s from the stools irritating the tumour and making it bleed as they pass by it - they were also quite thin. Part way through my radiochemo the bleeding seemed to stop and my stools became bigger which I hoped was the tumour shrinking. It turned out I had a 75% shrinkage after my 5 weeks treatment.
Hopefully your doctor won’t be too concerned and good luck with the treatment - time to zap that tumour!
Take care
