Had my 1st Radiotherapy today, going to count the days down backwards from 25 to 1, i will feel better that way ,then at least it will seem to go quicker, just hoping my chemo tablets dont cause many side effects, but i know im taking them for a reason, and thats to kick this thing out, good luck to all who have just started too,we can do it together,x
Hi nan-nan,
I think lots of us will say that the first radiotherapy session is the worst one - you really don't know what to expect, and there's so much anxiety with that. But on day 2, you know what to expect, so it gets easier! Hopefully your chemo will be fine too. Keep posting about how you get on. You should write a blog or journal about your experiences, and then, once it's all finished, read it back and you'll see how far you've come.
Linda :-)
Thank-you Loobyloo, yes today was hard not knowing what to expect, but the nurses where great and put me at ease, if the rest of the sessions go like today then it will be a breeze, when i was in the waiting room ready to come home, the bell for the all clear rang twice, that was good to hear, and everyone clapped their hands, so at least two happy people had good news today, lets hope all of us can ring that bell in time, hugs to you x
