Results are supposed to take 3-5 days. Unfortunately I didn't get mine until nearly 2 weeks after the scan. The results were delivered at the same time as my surgery date. Having been told it would be in November and having geared myself up for that I've now been informed my surgery will not take place until 2/1/20. This has really upset things for me and my family and at the moment I am struggling to deal with it. Sorry to go off topic. I hope you get your results in a timely manner and the news is good.
Rita
My husband had Oet scan 27/9/19 but late in day, he saw consultant 11/10/19 but he also had biopsies of lung taken on 1/10/19 so not sure when results were back for what, but all results and had MDT before 11/10 so could give him results then. Not sure if that helps on not, sorry but good luck x
Oh so sorry to hear your surgery has been delayed, Rita it's an awful anxious time waiting, be it for results, MDT or surgery, but to have goal post moved for surgery must be hard, especially with Christmas in the mix,
its getting yourself geared up as you said, psychologically it's mental preparedness, I totally understand.
however as the serenity prayer poem goes, serenity comes in accepting what you can't change and changing the things you can and the wisdom to know the difference.
i try to use this mantra, however I will often have a tussle with myself to get to that place of acceptance but once I do change ( in me) happens.
i really hope you get to that place, if the date can't be changed, sending you love, warm hug, and hope for you,
best wishes xxx
Thanks Process I will get there. My daughter is in Australia and was coming back for Christmas which I was obviously looking forward to, then she surprised me to say she would be back a week earliero she could help with my care and help her dad. Now she will be flying back to Australia on the day of my operation

Aw Rita that is an added knot in the process I had and could not consider, you I am sure feel like you have a double loss, the loss of your planned surgery date, and the loss of your daughter being present at home to help with your recovery and to support both her mum and dad.
it certainly adds another dimension, what a lovely daughter you have that she surprised you with that news, what you haven't lost though is your time with her, you will be able to spend that time with her still and hopefully without you being limited in what you can do together.
i hope you can look back in time to come and see it all worked out, again my best wishes to you all xxx
Hi Rita ,
That is a tough blow . So hard to control any part of this process at times .
Sometimes it just feels as though you are rolling with the punches in life .
That is one thoughtful daughter . All I can say is I hope the quality time you will have together has you built up and strong for surgery .
Take the time you need .
