  • Hi

Firstly I am delighted to hear your good news and send you both my best wishes .

I am gutted it returned . I know you had a great response but sorry you have to face it all again . I will be thinking of you as you prepare to face the surgery . Do you have a date ? ( can’t scroll back !)

So frustrating that a few small cells can escape detection . However they will be evicted for good and allow you back to your wonderful life uninterrupted.

    Thinking of you both ,

    take care ,

  • Naughty little alien, that’s right the 16th he gets his marching orders.
I can’t imagine how frustrating this must be but rest assured this is the gold standard way to get rid in the best possible way.
    remember to keep us posted.

Hello and congratulations on your wedding xxx

My story is similar to yours. I was diagnosed in May 2017 and after chemotherapy my tumour had gone and I was on Wstch and Wait until cancer returned in August this year.

I had my APR on 24th September with a temporary stoma. I must say operation wasn’t as painful as I imagined (keyhole). I am still getting to grips with Stoma. My results showed all cancer cut out and 13 lymph nodes taken had no cancer in them !

I will be having chemo as a ‘belt & braces’ starting soon.

This site has got me through so many low times and answered so many questions !

    Good luck for 16th xxxx

    Jackie.

Hi Jackie, thanks for message, sorry that your cancer has returned, or maybe as my consultant said, did it ever actually go away as when it's in it's micro state scans probably don't see it,yes Macmillan and the other platform are both amazing places for help support and advice,so wishing you well with the chemo, and hope all goes well, cheers John.xx

  • All the best with the chemo Jackie . Glad your safely through surgery .
