Just an update on my situation. I had my first meeting with my consultant yesterday, having been told after a colonoscopy that it looked like I had cancer, the good news is that the ct scan showed that it hadn't spread outside the sigmoid colon, so their plan for.me is that a part of my bowel will be removed and then a reconnection to rejoin my bowel. He is hoping that I wont need a stoma and then when they have done a biopsy of the cancer this will determine if I need further treatment.
My op has been scheduled for next week.
