Feel like I want the toilet

Im currently in my 6 week recovery period week 3 after having Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy for rectum cancer. But the feeling of wanting the toilet for a poo just won’t go away I no it’s the tumour pressing down on my rectum making me feel I want to go. It’s awful the pressure there I was wondering if any of you have had this and how to live with it before my operation and get some relief x

Hi there

My husband has a tumour in his rectum which apparently is the size of a grapefruit...hes just had 3 months of chemo...hes also got an iliostomy bag so really shouldn't need the toilet however he is up every hour through the night and is losing jelly like stuff mixed with blood ...we are all hoping it's the tumour breaking up but till we get the results of the scan we wont know ...he feels all the time like he needs a poo so it must be the tumour ...hope this helps xx
