Post chemo side effects

Hi following my chemo (capox) throughout which i had nausea even tho on anti sickness meds. Im now nearly 3 weeks post chemo and still experiencing the nausea. Metoclopramide sometimes makes it worse so im not taking anything. Has anyone else had the nausea lingering and when can i expect it to improve its so debilitating.

Hi . I’m sorry to hear that you’re still feeling nauseous. Chemo is pretty strong stuff and I can imagine that it takes a while to get out of your system but if doesn’t seem fair that you’re still struggling 3 weeks after finishing.

Perhaps you could give the nurses here on the board a ring to see if this is usual? If not contact your own doctor and run it past them?
