ThI was diagnosed with colon cancer after colonoscopy.Fortunately it was cotained and had not  gone anywhere else.I had an operation to remove the tumour which was followed by  9 sessions of chemotherapy.I  am now 1 year post treatment and recent scans are fine. However I have joint and muscle pain that seems to be with me daily.Does anyone elsehave these symptoms?

Yes, Yes, Yes I do and it really annoys me! Mine is mostly my legs although my hands feel a little stiff first thing in the morning. When I get out of bed I have to get hold of the wall until I ‘get going’. I find I can’t kneel on the floor and sit back on my heels (which is how I dry my hair) as my legs feel really tight and stiff - luckily the window sill is near by to help me get back up.

My feet are still really numb and tingly from the chemo so I’m not sure if the joints are part of that or the menopause or what. My doctor could only suggest I find a different position to dry my hair in!

I’ve started going back to the gym to see if that helps but I’m like bambi on ice trying to do squats and lunges. Reflexology seems to give a temporary relief to my feet and, being tall, I can stick them out of the bottom of the bed when they feel too hot.

Glad to hear your scans are clear and hopefully someone will post with the answer to our achey creaky bones!

    Take care

ps so glad it’s not just me!

  • . This thread has just been reposted on the anal cancer board due to popular demand and it mentions joint pain. No magic cure I’m afraid but my doctor has told me to take a vitamin D supplement.

Thought I’d pop the link on here as a lot of the treatment is similar - it’s the 6/4/19 post

  • Hi BuntyH

I started taking kiki 500mg CBD oil, I had terrible hip pains after my pelvic radiotherapy, after taking this stuff, I have no pain whatsoever, plus my clicky knees are fine now, I was adamant that after all the drugs Id taken I wanted something natural and this stuff has transformed my life.

there's no THC in the one I take so no "high" just pain free.

Hi, what brand CBD oil do you use? I'm finding it difficult to decide what to try and don't want to waste money

  • Hi Micheal

I use Kiki 500mg full spectrum, but if you go on lovecbd they have a better selection which are more reasonably priced.

I have to say my hips are better and my knees don't click, it depends what you want it for?

  • Hi ~ I’m 4 weeks post chemo (Capox) and seem to have developed a bad knee. Painful to kneel, weak going up stairs, some pain whilst walking. Stiffness after squats. It’s never been an issue until chemo.
