  • I know there must be an easier way to upload that but I am travelling and my technical team is driving Grinning

Sounds like your tumour is still contained in the Bowel . No lymph nodes affected . I take it the M was 0 as well ? Sounds good news on lots of fronts .

If you search the Bowel cancer information section on the main site it has all the information but just in case you find it hard to access that’s the main points .

    take care ,

  • Thank you court for the info that's made me feel a lot more positive . My mind has been going into overdrive. I seem to have suddenly gone from being very fit to having this alien inside me. I guess it's the same for everybody but it is very scary

  • Hi .

As Court says T3 means the extent that the tumour has grown through the Bowel wall, N0 means that they suspect no lymph nodes are affected and if they’ve told you M0 then that means that there is no spread to other organs. I was T3 but N1 as I had 2 lymph nodes affected.

The team will discuss your treatment path with you but I’ve attached a booklet for you to have a look at so you have an idea of what to expect.

Please let us know how you get on and feel free to ask any questions - there’s nothing too daft or embarrassing!

    Take care

  • Thanks Karen for the information.  It's good to know I have somewhere to go to ask questions. I have so many in my head at the moment.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Monday.

    Kind regards

  • HI Peacock62

my results are T2N0Mx which is very similar to yours which means both of us have caught it early which is good , I am ahead of you in terms of scans etc , if you want to read my profile it might give you some insight to what happens next

  • Hi nothappyanymore

Our stories seem quite similar .I had been diagnosed with IBS about 18months ago . then in November I started having bleeding and cramps pain I went to the GP who didn't examine me just asked me to do a stool & blood sample went back for results told bloods ok but stool reading was high . They said it was very unlikely Cancer it was IBD and made a referral still no examination .The appointment came for 24th April 2019 so went back again still no examination of back passage . I was referred again urgently but not on the 2 week pathway. Appointment  came for the 25th April !! Then in February I had a couple of large bleeds and clots and ended up in A &E I was examined by the doctor and he found what he thought was a tumor and promptly referred me on the 2 week pathway. And here I am now on here. I too have been trying to keep myself fit swimming 4 miles a week .keeping working etc. I just hope I can be as brave as everyone on here . I don't feel it at the moment.  Good luck with your treatment hope it goes well

    Kind regards
