Husbands first oncologist visit today. Lovely lass. Ex military family so we got along well (both of us are ex military). Just waiting for his first blood test and first appointment in a couple of weeks. If I can tie in with my visit to the stoma girls on the same day that would be great. The side effects don't appear to be as bad as I thought. She said Martin would be under her care forever. First chemo appointment all day so after visit to stoma girls I'll will have a lot of time to spare!
Something really perked me up on the lift down to the atrium after the appointment. A couple were there talking about a celebration. The husband had been treated for cancer that had spread throughout his body. Today he was told that it had started to diminish. So pleased for them. We'd never met before but this meeting in a lift was so uplifting.
