Hi everyone, I had an extended RHC in March 2025 and then 6 months of CAPOX as my tumour was T4 and I had some nodes affected. I completed that in Nov 2025. I’ve had numbness in feet and twitching feelings in my hands which appears after the chemo stopped and doesn’t seem to be improving as yet. I’ve now got these strange feelings in my head like maybe slight pressure and other sensations that I really can’t describe but I’m wondering if it’s possible to get the some twitching sensation but in your head?! The last two days I’ve also seen blood after having a bowel movement - the first movement was painful and I do suffer from piles and today I went again and saw blood and there was a bit of pain. My tumour was in the transverse colon but I’m so scared about recurrence and how it might present. I do have my one year checks coming up soon. Just seeking reassurance and anyone experienced the same re the sensations in head? Thanks very much x
Hi Ki21
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I'm not a member of this group, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.
While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. Hi Ki21 yes unfortunately peripheral neuropathy is a known side effect of chemo especially oxaliplatin. It can improve over time or can leave some lingering sensations - my feet tend to feel constantly sunburnt with reduced sensation at the bottom of my legs and feet. I’ve not heard of it affecting the head but if chemo travels to the full extent of your nerve endings then it may be possible? I’ve attached a link to a post that I did a while ago which may be helpful?

As for the blood it may be worth checking with your gp unless your one year check is very soon - as you say it may well be piles but always best to make sure
Take care
