I've been having continuous anal pain since Feb and the feeling that my bowel isn't empty after passing stool. A&E doctor advised colonoscopy but said I had to see my own doctor for referral. Saw my doctor immediately and fit test was neg. As no blood didn't qualify for urgent colonoscopy. Eventually saw a colorectal surgeon and had mri, ct scan and sigmoidoscopy.

All results say nothing found. Had 3 blood tests since Dec and everything in normal range. I'd be convinced I don't have cancer by these results except I've had continuous anal pain, big problems with constipation since December, lost 25% of body weight this year without explanation, feel exhausted and every week is becoming more difficult. Can barely do any simple tasks anymore and even personal care is becoming very tiring. Struggle every morning now. Feel like my body has been taken over. Absolutely dreadful. My legs are weak and painful when walking and things feel heavy to lift when they shouldn't be.

Anxiety has rocketed and I agreed to take meds as I felt I had nothing more to lose. Colorectal surgeon referred me back to doctor, dismissing me as mentally unstable.

Problem is that I didn't get a colonoscopy, just a sigmoidoscopy, and the pain I get is on the right side of my abdomen, the ascending colon region that hasn't been examined.  Also, the CT scan was a general type and not a specialised Colon CT scan.

Doc says I've already seen a colorectal surgeon, trusts his judgement, so I'm facing a brick wall.  Seems like they don't take any of my other symptoms into account because I haven't had any bleeding.

Can anyone advise me what to do next?
