Hi all

just wanted some peace of mind from others experiences really.
I was sent home yet not discharged from either as both emphasise cancer pathway despite also showing clear in observations?!
I wondered if others had received such confusing original reports- no one has even said what I should expect next.

anyone else young or old that’s been in this situation- please message advising or just generally, I am feeling very alone & usually the horses are my sanity- but this past week I’ve not felt well eFlushedugh to even go far outside FlushedPensive

anyway suspect this isn’t cancer just the protocol in which case they’ll diagnose a form of IBD

I’ve also now got to tackle gynae checks as they could all interlink yet not been considered YET my gp has to check me out again for that.

anyways please if happy talk about where your journeys went from this stage.

currently now awaiting colon histology

  • Hi,

Just sending positive thoughts. I can't help with information at this point but wanted to say that wondering and worrying can be a difficult place.

I am at an earlier stage on my journey. Waiting on my biopsy results and having a CAT scan tomorrow afternoon. My mind has gone down so many dark paths but trying hard to remain hopeful.

I know what you mean when you mentioned not wanting to do the things that you normally enjoy. It is a confusing time  but hang on in there. Take care. x

  • Hi  Did they comment on anything after the colonoscopy or did they just send samples off and tell you to wait for the histology results? Sometimes it’s a case of what it isn’t as opposed to what it is but being on the cancer pathway prioritises your case which is a good thing. Hope you get the results back soon and they can get to the cause of your issues. Try to get to your horses to take your mind off things for a while

    Take care

    Karen x
