Hi,
Six years on from Left Hemicolectomy (2018,) for Bowel Cancer, & Two cancerous Lung Nodules in 2019, (Lung Ablation,) my latest results of CT scans in Dec. '24 - Shows All clear - for both conditions.
I made no changes to my lifestyle. Just saying - After all the Ops. & procedures - the results can be positive.
Wishing everyone on this journey well x
This is amazing.
When I was diagnosed in November last year not knowing what I was facing reading about journeys like yours got me through so many very dark days. ️
Thank you, thank you for sharing your wonderful news. I’m especially grateful to hear about the lung part, because my bowel cancer was removed 4 months ago, but they’re investigating a lung node which is troubling me. To hear you had 2, had a lung ablation and are all-clear 6 years on is priceless.
Fabulous for you and you generosity in sharing this helps us too xxxxxx
Thank you so much. After my Op, I was told it was not necessary to have any chemo - However, one year later I had mets. to lung - two very small cancerous nodues in one lobe - (5.3mm & 3.5 mm,) then I had 6 mths of chemo - oral tabs, which shrunk them sufficiently to have Ablation.
Thanks for clarifying that. Could I ask which chemotherapy you had?
My Oncologist recommended the one with infusion & Tabs. However, I declined the infusion, as was wary about the possibility of Peripheral Neuropathy in Hands (I am an artist.) I told her that I just wanted the oral Capecitabine Tabs - which I tolerated for 5 months.
Wonderful news . So , so happy for you as ever .
Hope your still painting !

Hi this is wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing, am about to have a right hemicolectomy so reading this is v welcome. Like us all I veer between positivity and feeling desperate. So good to hear about the lung mets too as things like this can feel overwhelming.
Sending my very best wishes xxx
Thanks so much @court It's been a long journey - as you also know! Yes - Painting is my 'Raison D'etre!.' Or, however it's spelled! xx
Hi,
Thank you for this. Dammit! I had a terrible reaction to Capecitabine ( caused a painful heart problem), so I was hoping you were going to say a different one
