Haemangiomas

Hi, am in exactly the same position.  Had MRI yesterday.  Tumour in bowel, CT showed "indeterminate lesion' on liver. Consultant said could be benign but they can't assume anything hence MRI. I think,  as Court says, this is pretty standard, though certainly ramps up the anxiety! Am looking at the positives, they are being so thorough, which is better than missing anything.  Good luck xx

My Radiologist friend says there are now 5 of these lesions on my liver.

3 were seen before my op on 15/10 when I had a CT scan and were reported as haemangiomas. Now there are 2 more.

Seems like it's going to be metastases.

I am feeling devastated already and not had MRI yet.

It's so hard. I was a bit worried about more cropping up on the MRI than had been on the CT. What is your radiologist friend looking at? A new CT? Sorry it's all so agonising.  Is your MRI today? 

I had a CT scan 2 days ago.

There were two further dots so a total of 5 now.

So she ordered the MRI.

My friend is a Consultant Radiologist at my hospital where I'll receive treatment.

I think you can get more than one at any time . 
But I do understand your concern and why it’s causing additional stress .

I've just had my MRI  scan results and I have 3 metastatic tumours in my liver. Totally devastated.  

Life expectancy totally reduced.

Am so sorry to hear this, it sounds very difficult.  I hope you are not left just hanging with this too long and get to see your consultant for a plan. I don't have experience of liver mets but have read stories of them being treated, either via surgery or shrunk via chemotherapy xx

MDT on Wednesday next. 

Then they will let me know the plan
