Well hubby finally home.
District nurses come 1 a day to change dressing, as he’s got 2, 5cm hokes we’re they’ve had to take the clips out. on 2 blood thining injections a day.
Quite worrying really that they’ve sent him home. However with some TLC his appetite will return, early signs are good, managed to eat salmon fillet roast new pots and veg, served on a tea plate…….
Im alternating injections between tummy and thighs these are needed for the next 16 days. I hope this is correct?
waiting for an appointment with SDEC at hospital to take rest of clips out. not sure how long the district nurses will be needed, around 6 weeks!
We’re hopefully going to go out tomorrow for some fresh air. Is 5 min# walk too much?
Hes very tired emotionally and physically drained so thought a nice cup of coffee in cafe for some normality .

Hi t24 and good to hear that your hubby is finally home - there’s nothing like your own bed and sone home cooked food to aid recovery.
Hospital stays are mentally draining and you might find that your hubby just wants some home comfort for a couple of days but short walks after that is a good idea. Baby steps to start with - I walked to the nearest lamppost and then back again and then increased it gradually. I found I got a bit achey if I overdid it so maybe alternate days to start with but make sure he keeps moving about in the house - a siesta is ok but not to spend all day in bed!
Hope he continues to improve
