Feeling very apprehensive, yesterday had my bloods taken so 2 units of blood can be matched for my upcoming operation.
Tomorrow will start my pre-operative preparation and at the moment I have big butterflies in my tummy just thinking about it. Monday I have loads to do with my prep and I am very pleased that everything has been itemised with what to take and at what time. My daughter on Tuesday will be picking me up at 6am to get me to the hospital for 7am I can't believe it is nearly over.
It has been hard with the chemo radiation MRI and CT scans seeing oncologists and surgeons and hoprfully I won't need chemo afterwards because of my suspect lymph nodes. It is a 99.5% that I will have to have a stoma for the rest of my life but I will not let that stop me fingers crossed.
Hi Mags75 You’ve got this! Time to get that tumour in the bin and I’m sure you’ll quickly get to grips with a stoma. As you say it’s nearly over and then you can start to get on with your life again.
Please keep us updated?
Take care
