So had our 1st meeting this morning - so it’s surgery for right hemicolectomy.
Pre op tomorrow so hopefully surgery by end of november. Looks like it’ll be key hole surgery.
Hubby feeling very nervous - but unite so hard to judge at moment what he’s thinking or feeling. We have another meeting with the colton team to discuss todays meeting.
Feel some relief that it’s been caught really early and can now focus on getting ready for surgery.
Hello tesco,
We all were nervous. However, modern anaesthetics made it all possible: out like a light and the next thing you know it's all done. Don't rush recovery because the keyhole wounds will heal quickly, but the internal stuff will take longer (and you can't see those bits) and they will have been pushed and pulled about during surgery. As long as he follows the colorectal team's advice and recommendations all should be well.
Keep us posted.

I’m very much on the larger side and was really worried my size would affect my surgery and recovery. However, I got through the exercise test in the pre op and got through the surgery just fine. I as home 5 days post op. Wishing your hubby well for his upcoming surgery ️
