hi
We have a first meeting on monday to discuss plan. what can we expect?
feeling anxious nervous a bit sick and so much more.
Hi t24 I’ve attached a link to a booklet that i was given at my first meeting which will give you a bit of a heads up and help with jargon, questions etc.

The consultant will discuss the results of the scans and the treatment plan that has been decided on. Take a pen and paper with you to jot down a few notes and any questions that you have - there can be a lot to take in although I also met with my colorectal support nurse immediately after and she checked that I’d understood everything.
Once you have the treatment plan in place then things will honestly feel a bit better. Please let us know how you get on?
Take care

Hi Tesco
It is surreal, I felt like I was looking in from the outside...... My meeting with the consultant was excellent, put my mind at rest, measured up for a stoma which thankfully wasn't needed.... laparoscopic anterior resection procedure explained, recovery time and aftercare also discussed.
Take care
Peter
