I’ve been snotty for a while now and on the notes it says if you have a cough, cold, or sore throat, or skin infection to notify the hospital for advice.
Has anyone had a cold and still gone ahead with the op? i might phone for advice all the same. it don’t really want to delay this either.
Hi Double G
They will talk through your symptoms with you and make a clinical decision.
I have seen it go both ways on here but it’s really up to your team and you I guess too .
Any delay is horrible and this time of year it’s getting harder to avoid things .
Take care ,

Thanks Court, i might call them later and see what they say, it says to let them know 48hrs before surgery and i’ve had this cold a few days now, and the odd sneezing.
Could be a better environment in hospital i do have a dust allergy so wondered if the sneezing is part of that, i definitely don’t want to delay things.
It’s on the 10th, they said i should be fine, also found out today it’s going to be a different surgeon, guess i’m ok with that, but i did get to know the guy who was scheduled.
Id rather this not be delayed any further i need to get to the other side as they say.
