Hi my sister has stage 4 bowel cancer that has now spread to liver and more recently spine.has anyone got any positive stories to share about spread to spine because when I look online it seems once on spine people get a couple of months at best and we was hoping to at least have a couple of years with her.this is all still so raw she was perfectly fine up until 2 months ago ️
Hi Sand22
I was in touch with someone whose husband has a spread to his spine . I think radiotherapy was used and chemo plus some surgery . As far as I am aware he is still going four years on .
Sometimes it depends more how responsive you are as an individual which can take people past the averages that stats confine them too .
I wish her all the very best ,

Sorry to hear this. If it's any use, you can look into Tom Ford, the comedian and political commentator. He had cancer on his lower spine and had surgery and pulled through. His story is inspirational. He has talked about it on many platforms and podcasts. I find the podcast called "John Holmes says the C word" comforting too. It's about mainly famous people's experiences with cancers including Eric Idle. But it's on the light hearted side and features many people that have lived through hard diagnosis
