I've just had my final oxyplatin dose, and now on my final cycle of capecitabine tablets following on from bowel cancer surgery in Feb. I feel that the chemotherapy has destroyed my natural gut flora, its making me anaemic and made my hair thin. I asked the specialists if I would be provided with advice on how to rebuild my body's resources following chemotherapy but they don't provide anything. I wondered if anyone on the forum can offer some advice, or if your body just naturally rebuilds itself with time and a varied diet? Thanks.

Thank you for responding, the corses look just what I need to help me get well again quickly. I'm quite surprised advice and info isn't provided as part of the treatment. No doubt chemotherapy is a lifesaver but its quite a destructive treatment at the same time. Thanks I'll consult my diary and book on.
