Hi everyone,
After 12 cycles of chemo (FOLFIRI) and radiotherapy (SABR) to blast 3 lung nodules, the CT scan I had before Xmas revealed one new lung nodule and an enlarged lymph node. My onco is pretty sure it is disease progression rather inflammation and I am due to start another 12 cycles of chemo (FOLFOX this time, which I had back in 2019 after surgery) in 10 days. Feeling quite deflated as the 3 nodules I had had been progressing slowly and I am struggling to understand the sudden appearance of a 10mm new nodule! I feel I was just getting my life back after finishing chemo last March and radiotherapy last August and, realistically, this new round of chemo might slightly delay the inevitable but I doubt it will result in remission.

Hi Cecile and I’m sorry to hear that your results were disappointing. Do you also post on the Bowel Cancer UK Board? There’s a lady on there called 1234Annie who has used the COC and may be able to help
Take care

Thank you Kareno62 , I don't post on the Bowel Cancer UK Board but I did come across some of her comments on there today. So far I've only seen positive things about it, although it is difficult to say whether it was all down to the chemo but I think it's worth a try.
Really sorry to read this . Are they doing a Pet scan ?
My mum had a mediastinal Lymph node involvement along with her target lung nodule . She was too unwell at the time so did not ask for a pet scan . However Cetuximab for ten months and no mediastinal lymph nodes getting mentioned now . Starting to think they were actually reactionary and a Pet scan might have shown the true extent of the disease . My mum has had various lung nodules over the years and not all Disease . One got to 7 mm stayed a few years and disappeared.
Do you know if anyone took over the laser surgery from Dr Ladas from London ? I know when he retired it seemed to slip away but it used to be an option . It was on the nhs and approved .
