Hi guys, me again….

im still having abdo pain, when pressure is applied to me tummy or when I lay on it it hurts, I’m freaking out having read cancer can be surgically removed then can come back literally a few months later, I won’t be checked now until next year just after all my treatment has finished. I’m currently on CAPOX and my oncologist did say this combo can cause abdo pain but again that didn’t make me feel any better after what I’ve been through, yea I can mention it again when I get my phone call before next cycle but again they will just say this is a side effect, I don’t know what to do, never have any luck with me colorectal team, they have literally just abandoned me, do I see my GP, fudging nora it don’t get any easier for us does it… anyone else experiencing abdo pain whilst on CAPOX, should I be worried Anguished

Thanks again

  • I have just completed 8 cycles of Capox and had abdo pains throughout and still do.  I had a scan last week and got the results yesterday - all clear! To say I am relieved is an understatement, but the abdo pains remain and the consultant doesn't know why.  Am hoping it is just a result of all the drugs and will start to go.  But…….. at least I know it isn’t cancer.  For info I was diagnosed with stage 3.

  • Oh wow really, I did see my doctor yesterday coz I did freak out, he had a good ol feel of my tummy and said the pain is most likely the scar tissue but again I have read chemo can cause abdo pains so will wait until my next cycle and see but will bring it up when my oncologist rings me Wednesday. My tumour was eventually staged at 3 and had 15/35 lymph nodes effected :(
