Hi Everyone!
I've come on today with `some sort of good news`. Jay has been on medication for his diabetes -obviously! but they put him on an extra tablet to get his blood sugars regulated. He has been taking Metfromin and Forxiga for a while now, but our GP had told him he was only to be on the Forxiga for a limited time in the event of bringing down his blood sugar levels. He has been going to the GP in-between his chemo cycles to get bloods taken but no one has actually come back and said if his blood sugars were being measured. So, I phoned the GP practice this morning (still doing the phone consultations) and he phoned back to tell us that his blood sugar was measured on 7th September, and it has gone down significantly so something positive that at least his blood sugars are behaving themselves and for the present time they want him to stay on the Forxiga as that combined with the Metformin seems to be doing it's job. Now if we could predict good things about his upcoming CT scan in a few weeks that would be the `cherry on the cake` as the say. Take Care Everyone.
Vicky xx
