Well that's 6 cycles completed (check out my bio by clicking on my name) and last Wednesday had my results. The consultant was delighted with them - liver tumors reduced (some significantly), lymph nodes back to normal, ovaries better (although they didn't think I had tumors on them so that's a one to ask about again) and my lymph nodes are back to normal. The bowel even looked good - but they want to do an MRI scan to check in better detail.
So now we continue with another 6 cycles (or rather 5 as just heading into a crash from the 1st of this next round!) and a more positive and less scary few weeks! So relieved - time to carry in with no alcohol, good food and amazing friends and family - including some amazing people on here who have messaged me and I them! Could not have got through this without you all. Now to wait to see if a liver resection could actually be possible - and one day a move from control and contain...to the ultimate cure. Got to live in hope!
Wishing everyone an amazing day - and have hope, stay positive, look after yourselves and believe...! I know I have a long way to go, but I'll fight with everything I have! Love to you all xx
You are doing amazing Mizzle88 and I am over the moon it's all going in the right direction. To find out the chemo is working will give you that boost to get through the next cycles. You are doing all the right things and your positive attitude will get you through.
I will raise a glass of nosecco and pray that you get to that liver resection soon.
Well done lovely and yes, we live in hope.
Lots of love, Michelle.xx
That’s the way we like it !
Just over the moon for you . I was hoping with your easing of bowel symptoms something good was happening . In oncology terms that’s not that much chemo either .
Your doing incredibly well and you have just made my day .

Hey Court - thought you'd like this read! So worried that my liver wouldn't have any effect which happened to one of my best friends with secondary bowel Mets - so have been quite scared. Fingers crossed it keeps working with the same reduction rate - know it's the first few treatments are the most effective!
Onwards and upwards and keep fighting! Hope you are well! Xx
