Hi Everyone!
Has anyone any tips on how to stay cool and safe in this hot weather with cancer. I know they tell you keep in the shade, cover up etc but I'm thinking for those with cancer diagnosis is the hot the hot weather a lot harder to bear. We are at our caravan just now and Jay was sitting out yesterday under the parasol without a hat and the weather was really sweltering and last night he said in his words 'felt like a bag of sh*t' I just wonder if he got a little bit of sunstroke but this has never affected him in this way before. Also he slept up to 10am this morning which is not like him.

Hi PattyK, it is very easy to get dehydrated in this heat even if you are not doing very much. Dehydration can make you feel bad and although I try to keep the liquids up, if I feel I need it I use a rehydration drink.
I am not on any treatment now but I would just keep as cool as possible and stay hydrated.
Temperature is going down next week so hope Jay can enjoy more suitable weather then
John
