Hi everyone. First off I'd like to say how amazing this forum is and the support you give each other is fantastic. I'm female,52 and have my colonoscopy tomorrow morning after fit result of over 400. I'm taking Moviprep at 5pm. It says not to use chilled water but I've read on forum it's more palatable cold! Is it OK to chill after making it up or should I just use ice? Thanks x
Hi CharlieD,
I think the reason that they say don't use chilled water is that the Moviprep won't all dissolve in chilled water. However, I'm sure if you dissolve in in water that is room temperature and then put it in the fridge that would be OK!
Wish you all the best
Jane
Hi CharlieD. Yes make it up with normal water and then when it’s dissolved, put it in the fridge. I worked out how much I needed to drink over what time period then had 3 big slurps through my wide straw then a swig of tonic water with lemon to take the taste away. You can mix cordial in with it (but not something dark coloured like blackcurrant) but try it in a small amount first in case it makes it worse! You need to finish both dosages even if you’re ‘running clear’ - they’ll probably check that you have and you don’t want to have to do it a second time because you weren’t empty enough.
It’s not pleasant but necessary for you to get the best results from the colonoscopy
Take care

Hello. Jumping on here. I have mine next Thursday and have been asked to change my diet from today... so it will be 6 days of eating no fruit or vegetables. Is that what you had to do too?
Hi.just popped on. Hope you don’t mind. I had to eat low fibre the same. My last supper before taking the prep was Cantonese Chicken and chips. I left all the veg and only ate half. It was so good and I knew it wouldn’t be there long

I only had to change my diet for 3 days before and fast the last day.Good luck with yours x
