So tomorrow operation day, I'm feeling rather nervous and emotional, I'll be glad the tumour will be gone but am apprehensive about the op and recovery and what may lie ahead.
Hi, Flora, good luck tomorrow. You will be in good hands, and the team will do their best for you. Ask any questions beforehand so you know what you might have to face. Don't be surprised if you get marked up for stomas, this is just in case (unless you know otherwise) as you then get some say in where they are. Things may be different once they get inside! Recovery should be straightforward, move as much as you are allowed, I found that helps.
We are all here to support you, no question is too small or stupid. All the very best, let us know how you get on. Xx
Hi Flora
I hope everything's gone well. Im here to tell you that even if you have to have a stoma, i promise life can, and will go on. My stoma (Eddie) has become a part of my life , he doesn't cause any grief, behaves well most of the time, and has saved my life!!!
Wishing you well for the future
Eddie Stomart
